About this app

The "Mobile Device for Phone Tracker Location Center" is the mobile extension for the PC program "Phonetracker Location Center" (PLC). This app is used to display the locations of previously defined Phonetracker (ie GPS tracker for vehicles or people) on a digital map on your smartphone or Android Tablet.

To use this free app a possession of a valid license for the PLC is required. In addition, a paid add-on called "Mobile Device addOn" is required as an accessory for the PLC. This AddOn is available in five versions, with which one, two, five or 10 mobile apps can be managed. In addition there is a free trial for the Mobile Device AddOn that can be used for three weeks.

In the AddOn you specify which Phonetracker positions should send to your application. You can select up to eight Phone Tracker for each app. The transmission of the position data must be sent by GPRS over a GPRS server. The storage of this information is at the GPRS server, so it is not necessary that the PLC must be active in order to obtain position data!

They are constantly informed about whether your Phonetracker are online and provide position data. You can also query the current position of a tracker as well as activate a mode called "Trace Lock", so that only the positions of a certain pre-selected tracker are shown.

To display the positions the application uses a map of the type Open Street Map. The app is bilingual (English / German) and has an integrated help system.

In version 1.2.0 was improved the behavior of mobile network failure or server interruption. In addition, the app can display the addresses of the current Phonetracker location.

Please note: this program is currently not running on Android 5.x ("Lollipop")!

New features

For certain settings, the Phonetracker position has not been updated on the map.
