Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GimmeYourCard on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Your phone (OF COURSE!) knows your phone number.
It knows everything that you tell it.

Why are YOU hauling around (and running out of!)
business cards and handing them out yourself,
one by one? Your phone can do this for you!

And our app lets you do so with ease, safety,
and convenience.

Want your contact info available to everybody at
the big networking event? Want to see other
folk's info? Our app gets you the name of
everybody who's dropped a contact collector at
the event. If you approve their name AND the
other party approves your name, you get each
other's detailed contact info.

It's quid-pro-quo and you don't have to give
your contact info to anybody whose contact info
you don't want. And you can decide this exchange
after the event; the next day or the next week.
Then the app will store (or discard) their
contact info.

The late Ron May was a fixture in the Chicago
tech and entrepreneurial journalism scene with
his unique and colorful blog. Ron always used to
track who appeared at which event by insisting,
"Gimme your card!" With respect to Ron's memory,
we've made an app that makes your networking easy
and allows event organizers to follow Ron's lead
