Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Echo Responder on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

New review: Works horribly with Android 8.0. Sounds no not match notification functions. Not sure what setting does what. Old review :Amazing tech support. I emailed them a couple issues with current version and they resolved both issues the same day. Thanks guys

Pretty good, slick interface and a lot of nice features for SAR. One really big, really simple improvement they need to make is to cache the incident logs locally. Very often I lose data service or have to turn the phone off and in turn lose the incident and chat log, meaning I can't look up changes in situation, location, etc. Also, there needs to be a way to change locations on an incident after the creation of incidents so we can just use the nav button to get there. Having a way to queu outbound messages would be fantastic, often there's only a blip or two of signal on the way home so I can't mark on scene/ returning to base. I'll boost the review to 5 stars when local caching is added. *I've had this review up for about a year now with no fix. The lack of offline caching has left me lost on calls with no access to important information countless times now. Will still boost to 5 if they just fix this. Adding clickable link support to the chat log is another much needed update.

Give your first responders the tools they need to plan, communicate and respond more effectively. Echo Responder is a mobile-first solution designed to help Firefighters and EMT’s stay connected with their department.

Responder Tracking:
Realtime GPS updates for your responders. All of your department members can individually opt-in to share their current location when responding to a call in progress.

CAD Integration:
Integration with computer aided dispatch systems for live dispatch information. Echo Responder processes your dispatch emails and displays them in a friendly format on your device.

Incident Chat:
Communicate directly with your responders. Messages are persisted so you won't need to repeat yourself in the event that a responder is out of radio range.

Landmark Tools:
Supplement your maps with hydrant and access box overlays. Echo Responder will show you the nearest landmarks to the scene of an incident when switching to the map view.

Pre-Plans:
Access and store notes and attachments for a location. Relevant information automatically pulled up for new incidents.

Personnel Management:
All of your department members contact information is readily available and searchable.

On Duty Setting:
Toggle your on duty status in-app so your department can see who is available to respond to a call.

Notification Preferences:
Choose from 5 notification sounds for incident alerts and chat messages and choose which chat messages to get notifications from.
