About this app
Cato Porter is the official companion app for the Cato hospital management software, designed specifically for hospital workers such as porters. This app streamlines the process of receiving, managing, and completing tasks assigned by hospital management. From handling patient transfers to delivering important items across hospital departments and cleaning management, Cato Porter ensures that hospital tasks are handled efficiently and on time.
Key Features:
• Task Management: View and accept tasks directly from the Cato Software Web
• Task List: Keep track of all accepted tasks, with real-time updates on task status.
• Multiple Login Methods: Access the app using QR codes, NFC badges, or other hospital-issued credentials.
• User Management by IT: Only authorized users managed by hospital IT can access the app, ensuring a secure environment with no public registration.
Types of Task Dispatching: Automatic Dispatching, Manual Dispatching, or List of Tasks.
Each Cato Porter user is part of a team, and the dispatching method is configured for that team.
Tasks must be created by the Team Lead in Cato Web, and they appear in Porter based on the selected dispatching method.
List of Tasks:
• Cato Porter users will see a list of tasks (the number of tasks displayed is configured at the team level). Please see the attached screenshot.
• Cato Porter users can either accept the task or start it (starting a task requires a long press to prevent accidental task starts).
• Cato Porter users need to expand the task to view more details. Key information includes:
o Time the patient needs to arrive at the location
o From and To locations
o Whether the task is critical
o Documentation about the process and patient information (depending on the hospital)
Depending on the transportation situation, Cato Porter users can complete, cancel, or return the patient. Various actions are allowed for Cato Porter users, and these are configurable in Cato Web.
Automatic Dispatching:
A task will be automatically dispatched to a Cato Porter user if the user is near the task's starting location and is available.
Manual Dispatching:
The Team Lead will manually assign the task to a Cato Porter user via Cato Web.
The test user "catoporter" can be used on one mobile device at a time. If you need additional users for testing, we can create more. Please log out and log back in, as we have made some changes. Also, please refer to the screenshots we shared with you.
Flow that users can follow via Cato Porter:
• Change Teams: If the user is part of more than one team, they can switch teams.
• Start: Start a task by long pressing.
• Complete: Complete a task by long pressing.
• Cancel: Cancel a task with a reason configured in Cato Web.
• Cancel and Copy: Cancel the existing task and create a new one with a scheduled time X minutes later (configured in Cato Web).
• Complete and Copy: Complete the existing task and create a new one with a scheduled time X minutes later (configured in Cato Web).
