About this app

View, Graph, Log, Alarm, and share your vacuum gauge data 100 miles away. The Vacuum Gauge App links to DigiVac vacuum gauges to view, graph, alarm and log readings. The App also enables sharing graph and pressure vs. time data through sharing via Gmail or Dropbox, or logging to the vacuumnetwork.org cloud.  These features make the App ideal for testing vacuum pumps, understanding system performance or finding leaks.  Vacuum Gauge was the first App available on Android and Apple for the medium vacuum range with typical measurements between 5 millitorr and 20 Torr.  This 2.0 Android only version extends the feature set to include a more refined interface, backgrounding capability, graphing and sharing graphs, additional units of feet (altitude pressure), inches of mercury, and real time IoT sharing of vacuum data via the vacuumnetwork.org cloud.
Time Saving Benefits:
☆ Graphing right on your phone will show trends.
☆ Make troubleshooting more efficient through simple sharing of vacuum time vs. pressure data and graphs.
☆ Tired of waiting for pumpdowns?  Share your data to the cloud, and surf over to vacuumnework.org to see how your system is performing. The cloud is updated every 10 seconds for up to the second measurements.
Graphing Feature: A vacuum pressure vs. time graph can be displayed.  It has several time durations available from 10 seconds through 24 hours.  To see a pumpdown of a small pump, 25 seconds is ideal. The graph automatically scales to capture the upper and lower pressure values on the y axis that was achieved in the given time window.
Sharing Vacuum vs. Time Data Feature: Ideal for vacuum pump testing and performing a vacuum pump baseline. Simply save the baseline test data and share with the touch of a button, then compare it to a recent vacuum pump test to see if a vacuum pump is still performing optimally.
Vacuumnetwork.org Feature: This is the first application of vacuum gauges in the cloud. The Vacuum Gauge 2.0 app communicates with vacuumnetwork.org so system pressures can be viewed from anywhere in the world! While the phone or tablet hosting the app will need to be within 300 feet of the gauge, the customer and gauge ID's created will allow logging onto the DigiVac cloud site to view specific gauge data from across the room, across the country, or across the ocean.
Data Logging Feature: Enables the user to choose how often data is logged. The time durations available are once per second, once per minute and once per hour.
The distance between the vacuum gauge and the tablet or mobile device is about 300 feet line of site. The signal is sent via Bluetooth Low Energy, or Bluetooth 4.0. The signal can go through some walls and around some curves, but that greatly diminishes the overall distance.
Remote Viewing Feature: The value of seeing the gauge reading on your phone or tablet is that it allows you to do other things while having your current gauge reading at your fingertips.  For evacuations that take several minutes, a technician can be working with other parts of the system or doing other tasks. The App is available in units of millitorr, microns, Torr, mbar, Pa, feet (altitude at standard temperature and pressure), and inches of mercury.
Alarm Feature: Many portable gauges have this, but having this via a Bluetooth connection to a phone or tablet is much more useful.  The standard gauge alarm requires you to be right there to hear it.  This Vacuum Gauge App alarm can be set at any value between 1 millitorr and 760,000 millitorr.  When the vacuum level falls above the high, or below the low, set point, it will sound.

Reconnection and Background robustness: If a gauge momentarily turns off or becomes disconnected with the App, the App will automatically reconnect with the gauge and continue any logging, graphing or alerting that is set.  Further, if the App gets backgrounded, it will still log to a data file or vacuumnetwork.org and alert.

New features

New graphing capabilities using several time bases and vacuum units. Reconnection and Backgrounding robustness. Posting to web site Vacuumnetwork.org for data and graphing in the cloud. Sharing Vacuum vs. Time Data Feature. Remote Viewing Feature.
