This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Prowl Alert on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. In security knowledge is critical, and sharing information about criminal activity helps everyone guard against potential threats. The Prowl Alert app pools and distributes this communal knowledge by allowing users (such as Neighborhood Watch, Campus Watch, security officers and loss prevention professionals) to both log and view real-time reports of criminal incidents within their geographic area. The app features both a map view and list/log view of the incidents. The free version of the Prowl Alert app provides abbreviated (or summary) incident details. Expanded (or full) incident details are available in the premium version. NOTE: The criminal activities reported are shown anonymously (the Screen Name, Full Name and Email are not shown in the incident details). The Prowl Alert app does not alert law enforcement or emergency services. It is strictly a user-managed incident logging and tracking tool. All crimes or emergencies should be reported to the proper authorities in your area.

• Display all logged incidents within a specified geotargeted area of your location (based on your device). Set radius from 1 mile to 25 miles.
