This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Contixo CAM1 on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. The app has a nice design, however the Android version has some bugs. The bugs occur when switching between cameras or switching between video playbacks. You may get alternating images from different cameras after switching from one camera to another or you the app may crash. Both bugs only occur if you switch between cameras or video playbacks with our first exiting the app. If you exit the app them switch to another camera or video play back it will work fine.

The cameras seem to be great so far. Great image quality. The App, for android, however isn't all that good. If you have multiple cameras you can (theoretically) switch you view from one cam to another, in reality, that doesn't happen. Either the app crashes or it shows the image from the previous camera on the one you are trying to switch to...then it crashes. To see all cameras you need to restart the app per cam view. It's pretty clunky and I hope they fix it soon. If they do, it's easily 5 stars.

App does not allow you to view more than one camera, even one after the other. You have to close the app to view another camera. Once this is fixed it will be a 5 star product. I love having the voice feature.
