About this app
CHECKD is a mobile application toolkit especially made for field workers. It´s module based, each solving particular issues related to deviation management, construction faults and equipment and storage control. It´s is a subscription based software-as-a-service (SaaS/cloud) aimed at the construction industry, but can also be utilized by entities needing control of devices and workmanship. CHECKD use different in/out languages to reduce misunderstandings, hence being the cause of many faults. Initially it is launches in 15 different languages.
CHECKD is a toolkit of applications each solving particular tasks. The emphasis has been on addressing challenges that the construction industry is facing. However, the toolkit may also be used in other markets facing similar challenges, i.e. car fleet management, shipping, the oil and gas industry etc.
Our Mobile Application Suite is developed after 6 years of “in the field work”, and all functions are based on actual customer wishes and feedback. It offers the managers and company owners a unique possibility to gain control of the daily tasks, and at the same time it involves the field workers so they feel valued and get a more structured workflow.
In 2012 we made a proof of concept for the main association for entrepreneurs in Norway (EBA). More than 30,000 reports were created, showing that construction workers are ready for simple Smartphone solutions and that such solutions work to the benefit for both the workers and their management.
Despite technological advances in other industries, construction is still mainly run using paper forms, which causes a number of serious challenges for management and communication amongst workers. CHECKD looks to modernize many of these processes, and in the process save considerable amount of money on more efficient and fault-free construction sites.
Through our proof of concept and our own experience from the construction industry the CHECKD toolkit will be a completely new way of working on a construction site, using a tool that most workers already possess in a new and innovative way.
Workers and management on a construction site are often depending on old-fashioned processes and ways of working and documenting the work. The CHECKD toolkit will open a new world to construction personnel for easy and effective management of their own work day and providing information to the management in a more efficient way.
