About this app

•Listening, Thinking and Responding are essential for an effective communication.
•Differences in Listening will affect Thinking and Responding.
•“Sanvaada” is an android application to translate pictures and signs into words and sentences
and also to translate words and sentences into pictures.
•“Sanvaadha” can use to replace a sign language interpreter. It could be used as a bridge
between 400,000 deaf and hearing-impaired people in Sri Lanka and others through effective
communication.
•An Android application which replaces a sign language interpreter. A sign language interpreter
appears on the mobile screen and responds to words and sentences keyed in.
•This will help reduce the communication gap prevailing among deaf and hearing impaired,
numbering about 400,000 in Sri Lanka, and between the deaf and hearing impaired and the
normal community. It will also widen the communication scope of the deaf and hearing-impaired
community, by allowing them to communicate with a large number including foreigners.
People are different. Different people use different communication methods to convey messages
to get their work done. When communicating, we need to “Listen”, “Think” and “Respond” to
make that communication effort be effective. People have different levels of “Listening”,
“Thinking” and “Responding” capabilities. Some can’t “Listen” as others. Some can’t “Think” as
others. Some can’t “Respond” as other due to their differences. If their capabilities of
communication are equal, they may not encounter any difficulty during getting their work done. If
people have a significant difference in “Listening”; subsequent “Thinking” and “Responding”
processes will be affected. It may be so critical at times. Therefore, by bridging the gap of
significant differences in “Listening”, which is the first barrier in the communication process, we
can facilitate an “Effective Communication” between differently able communities.
“Sanvaadha” mobile application, which represents the meaning of “Effective Communication” in
the Sinhala language & Tamil Language, is the solution. we developed as the “Pictorial Bridge
between different listening capabilities of people”. Sanvaada bridges the gap of understanding
pictures and signs and translating those into words and sentences for the people need “Sound”
to listen to their own language. “Sanvaadha” helps to translate words and sentences into pictures
and signs for the people who are experts in “Listening through Signs”. Therefore, “Sanvaadha”
can build bonds and harmony of “Differently Listening” people. “Sanvaadha” is accessible for all
and freely available at the following link and could be installed easily by its installation guidelines.
“Sanvaadha” is presently capable to serve people who communicate in Sinhala/Tamil language.
“Sanvaadha" is looking forward to link through google translator or any best alternative to
facilitate effective communication globally as well. With all above, Sanvaadha is bridging
differences in listening capabilities of differently able people to think quickly and to respond
promptly through effective communication.
