Il sistema di Automatic Speaker Verification è un modulo che utilizza gli algoritimi del sistema di Automatic Speech Recognition di Cedat 85 per verificare l’identità di un oratore.

All’utente basta addestrare il sistema pronunciando 5 volte una breve frase d’accesso. In pochi minuti il sistema crea un modello che descrive la frase d’accesso pronunciata con le caratteristiche vocali dell’oratore.A questo punto il sistema è in grado di verificare l’identità dell’oratore.

Per essere autenticati bisogna superare due livelli di sicurezza:

1. Il primo è la conoscenza della password. Come i classici sistemi di autenticazione, il sistema di Automatic Speaker Verification controlla che l’utente conosca la frase d’accesso segreta. Se la frase pronunciata in fase di autenticazione è diversa dalla frase d’acceso dell’utente, l’accesso sarà negato.

2. Il secondo e più innovativo livello di sicurezza è il riconoscimento dell’oratore. Il sistema infatti è in grado di stabilire se l’oratore che pronuncia la frase d’accesso è lo stesso utente che ha compiuto l’addestramento. Nel caso in cui qualcun altro viene a conoscenza della frase d’accesso segreta di un utente, il sistema si Automatic Speaker Verification è in grado di stabilire in base alle caratteristiche vocali dell’oratore che si tratta di un impostore, e quindi di negargli l’accesso.
