About this app

RabbitEar is a small but powerful messaging application that creates a web server on your phone that allows you to use a web GUI to send SMS and access SMS, MMS, and your contacts over your local network. Browsers under Windows 10, Linux, and MAC OS X are supported. It also does not need to be set as the default messaging app, and can run along side Android's default messaging applications or any third party messaging application that stores its messages in Android's default database.

Multiple Browser Operating System Support

RabbitEar supports the following web browsers for each operating system.

Linux: Firefox and Chrome.

Windows 10: Firefox and Chrome.

Mac OS X: Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

Security

RabbitEar's web server uses HTTPS to secure the connection between your phone and personal computer. This application also creates its own Authority Certificates that can be added to your computer so each browser can identify the connection as being secure. Instructions on how to add the Authority Certificates to each browser is included for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows 10.

New features

Users can now send and view SMS messages, view their contacts, and view MMS video and images from their browser.
