BLM Event is your connection to a variety of hyper-local content, promotions, and interactivity. When BLM detects the presence of a 'beacon' it will provide a notification with the option to view more information related to that beacon.

What is a beacon? Beacons are tiny Bluetooth based radio devices which emit a unique signal. When placed strategically throughout a retail environment, for example, they can be used to tailor unique experiences for customers.

BLM Event is designed to be non-intrusive and simply waits in the background for a nearby beacon to be detected. It's important to note that battery use is conserved by enabling radio only when in the vicinity of a beacon.

Q: Will this app drain my battery?
A: No. BLM Event will intelligently utilize the radio only when in the vicinity of a beacon.

Q: Will I be annoyed with constant notifications?
A: You will only receive a notification when BLM Event detects a beacon. The typical range of a beacon is around 10 meters. Beacons can also be 'unliked' to ignore any further notification.
