About this app

This is a very simple communication app for Android. To use it, the user must input his/her name and phone number (international standard) to register and login with the app database, the app will return a SMS which the user may type in to proceed. Contacts can be added by clicking the upper icon.

Right now, CloneZap has very basic functionalities, it doesn't allow for sound, images or video to be transmitted, it doesn't allow for multi-chats, it doesn't have notification configurations, or VoIP calls, user status and search functionality. Those functionalities may be added over time.

Since it uses Firebase's Spark Plan, the app may not work properly if the monthly quota of data storage is reached.

The purpose of this app is to showcase my skill as an Android software developer. It's source code is available at my github account. If you want to know more, please visit my portfolio by using the app's "About" menu option. Thank you.
