This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SpotWiFi: Automate & Spot WiFi on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

This app connects me automatically to free wifi and my home wifi.This app works best if high accuracy location is turned on and if allow WiFi scanning is turn on. Recommend not battery optimizing this app.

Unreliable. I want to like this app, but it keeps letting me down. I go to McDonald's and it seems to connect and sign in, but often a few minutes later there's no data (or my phone is using up cellular data), and I realize I need to sign in manually. Sometimes it forgets hotspots that I've saved, and fails to connect automatically. So, it ends up being little better than fully manual (but confusing/annoying), instead of something you can mostly set and forget.

Simply put... SpotWiFi helps you spot WiFi and automatically connect to hotspots. SpotWiFi manages your WiFi connections, turning your WiFi radio off when not needed, and saving your cellular data plan and time.

Automatic WiFi: SpotWiFi manages many trusted hotspots like Starbucks and McDonald's and connects automatically when in range. Hotspots for your area are updated daily keeping you current even when traveling.

Your Own Hotspots: Add your own hotspots like your home or work to SpotWiFi. They stay private to you (not shared with the world) but the benefit is a better WiFi experience by avoiding weak signals.

Hotspot Quality: SpotWiFi not only monitors the signal strength of hotspots, but also their speed and access to the Internet. When quality issues arise, you are informed and given choices to handle them.

Hotspots with Sign In: Most public hotspots have a "sign in" or "terms & conditions" page which you must agree to before accessing the Internet. You can use SpotWiFi to automate many of them for you. For those that cannot be automated, you are notified so you can sign in yourself.

Finding Hotspots: Go to the Map to view available hotspots. Download more hotspots for any area you wish by using the map commands.

* For users outside the United States, hotspots are limited. However, SpotWiFi still simplifies your WiFi connections to your own hotspots.
