Was great to organise secret santa when not everyone could be together at the same time! Very simple and easy to use! Only minor annoyance was the organiser getting everyone's text. But it's upfront with that in the sales pitch, so can't hold that against it!

I needed something more customizable. I couldn't manually add in names and numbers or edit existing ones. It also didnt save my group of over 10 ppl when I accidentally clicked out of it.

just when I thought this this was a great app its got very annoying...just checking messages and there are all the messages sent from the app and who has who in the supposed secret santa...lol...just defeated the whole purpos ...lucky I have a poor memory...lol..

Thought this was genius until I received a copy of every message sent. It somehow looks like it came from the person who it was sent to so I can't just delete it without deleting our entire chat history.

About this app

Secret santa SMS allows you to create a secret santa group by selecting contacts from your phone.
A SMS is sent (using your SMS program) to all participants letting them know who they were assigned and how much they should spend.
SPOILER ALERT : You will be able to see the SMSs in your sent SMS history so have someone delete all your messages except your one if you do not want to see allocations.

You can also quickly select yourself using the "Add Yourself" button. You can also use this button for manual entries.


The message sent is short and simple and contains no links.

I used previous apps with email and they just went to junk folders and caused confusion so this should be quick and easy.

If you need to look at the participants list or review Secret Santa assignments this can be done easily inside the app or you can choose to email them to yourself or others using the Email function.

Notes:
App does contain ads as I am an independent developer
All your data is stored locally on your phone.
Only 1 list is available at any time.
The SMS messages will be send from your phone number so you will pay carrier costs.
The SMS's will be in the conversation history so you can resend if needed. I cant avoid this as it uses your SMS program.
You can delete the list and create a new one but you your previous list will be deleted. However, you can email yourself all the details in case you want it later.
