Regardless of the type of need you have when it comes to secure communication, CrypTalk is, and will, keep working towards unprecedented security for free, by implementing the newest
and safest methods of keeping your data and privacy safe.

After putting incredible effort into research and development, we have come up with layers of security and features that surpass standard secure chat requirements.

CrypTalk offers more than one level of security. In fact, it offers three!

Level 1 - default level of security when using the app, featuring:
- End-to-end encryption
- Key exchange: Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman with ephemeral keys
- Audited algorithms
- AES-256
- Forward Secrecy protection: ephemeral keys in use
- Replay Attack Protection: Key exchange with challenge-response

Level 2 - used to verify identity of another user in person, encryption remains the same as level 1

Level 3 - This level provides users with the oldest and most trusted method of encryption in history, One Time Pad encryption. Cryptalk has devised a way to enable this type of encryption using key generation which includes the only really random source of data, human motion. This key is however transfered via bluetooth currently, and therefore level 3 currently does not function cross-platform.

Coming alongside these levels are many different features such as:

- Message self-destruct timers
- PIN / Password protection of local content
- Screenshot warnings
- Chatting without sharing your phone number (when contacts are added via their username)

We are still in beta, and are working towards perfecting the app and fixing what needs to be fixed, as well as introducing new features as we progress.
