Doesn't do anything except show adverts and ask to pay for upgrade.

Not very good

It's a good idea, and it works some of the time with people in the room, which isn't what I needed, since I read lips very well. I tried to use it to understand media without captions and phone calls, and it only told me what I said, not what was coming over the phone. NOT very helpful.

Mic doesn't do anything. Nothing happens

This would be the perfect app for communicating with my deaf 90 year old father if it didn't hang up. It hangs on both my devices one running android 4.2.2 and the other 5.0. If you speak a message and don't say anything else for 30 seconds you can no longer get it to recognise voice without minimising and then maximising. It won't respond to pushing the stop button but will to others. The only way it is useful is to push stop after saying something and then push listen each time you want to say something. I really hope that someone has found a fix for this as anyone who knows someone who is profoundly deaf needs this app . the fact you could change the font size is really good.

This app would be awesome if it could get what you say correct. Has no way to make edits, so you have to clear complete text and start over until it's right. Also hangs up like previously mentioned.

About this app

This application simply displays the words that it hears on the screen in large letters.

It was written as an aid to communication with deaf people. I have shared it here just in case other people find it useful.

The size of the font can be configured.

It continually listens and displays text when a sentence has finished. As with all apps that use the Google speech recognition service, it is better to speak slowly and clearly.
