Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Ideas from the Beyond - Inspiration Generation on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Creative block is no fun for anyone. Ever needed a spark of inspiration, a random burst of imagination to just give you that little boost you need to start creating? That's what Ideas from the Beyond is for.

There is no 'right' way to use Ideas from the Beyond! Whether you're a writer, a painter, illustrator, animator, designer, editor, potter, glassblower, or any other kind of artist, your art brings value to the world. If a generated word, phrase or colour can inspire you to create art in any capacity, then we've achieved our goal.

Ideas from the Beyond will create a phrase made up of four categories, and three colours - one dark, one medium and one light - with their hexcodes every time you hit the generate button. You can filter which categories to include in your random phrase, and tailor it to your vision. There are currently over 52 BILLION phrase combinations alone, and we're still adding more!

In collaboration with ClassyKatie of Twitch fame, Ideas from the Beyond exists to spark your imagination and inspire you to create. ClassyKatie often creates art with her community on her channel - you can catch her at https://www.twitch.tv/classykatie.
