Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing rumii on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. I installed the mobile app after trying out the VR app on HTC Vive and was really hoping the mobile app would work with mobile VR platforms like Google cardboard. But it doesn't, it seems. A good looking app nonetheless but Rumii being a VR productivity platform, this app eventually needs to support VR too. I don't see myself using the mobile app until then 5 stars once it does.

Rumii is an amazing VR collaboration tool. It was used to power Merging Realities, the world's first full-day conference held in VR. Highly recommend this tool.
