This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Voipfone Softphone on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

Sound/call quality erodes frequently and requires complete reset including setting up ALL DND settings. Hugely irritating if you have several as I do

Unfortunately when used on my Samsung S10 plus (running Android 9) all incoming calls failed with an engage tone when navigating away from the open app (app open in background). So no good for incoming calls but worked well for outgoing (and incoming when in app).

The APP worked very well on my old 2013 Samsung S4 GT-19505 and it works just as well on my new A40.

Poor app, basic and laborious control panels, not value for money

This SIP app actually works. Unlike many others I've tried push notification work and I've never missed a call due to software short comings. The user interface is a bit clunky & basic and doesn't always present properly on my Note8. This could do with become more modern and able to scale better on larger screen devices, even tablets. But it works and that is the important thing.
