Have been using Threema for several years now; more or less. There was always reason to leave Threema. Right now it's like that again. I have noticed for days that messages are sometimes delivered with an extreme delay. That's why I used Threema Web today. Not a single one of these messages reached the chat partner and cannot be found in the app. THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Safe, but useless. Support: ridiculous response times (several days).

The app in general is quite good and feels secure. I'm no IT security expert so cannot really verify 😊. Unfortunately, messages and particularly images take a long time to be delivered and sometimes they don't get delivered at all! When sending a single image, the issue only occurs rarely but when sending multiple images at the same time, the issue occurs almost always!

Useless. Voice messages will not play while in the background like all other chat apps can do. All possible measures have been taken to whitelist, turn off battery optimisation settings, etc.. Threema refuses to play messages in the background. Reinstalling the app is a hassle so I'm forever needing to make new accounts. Poor decision to get this app, also no one uses it, so you still need to use other chat apps anyway.

Subpar multi device experience compared to other services. If you want to use Threema on your desktop you will have a bad experience, if your phone has a bad connection it will fail to show and send your messages on your PC, if you phone has a GOOD connection it will still fail sometimes because it doesn’t work 100% of the time when the app is running in the background on your phone (Even when disabling energy saving for the app). The app itself is amazing and works great if you are using it only on the phone. But please, please, add proper multi device support, other services like Matrix/Element (This one has P2P encryption!) and Telegram (Without P2P encryption) have seamless switch between devices and don’t rely on your phone’s connection, and now even WhatsApp will add multi device support!

Currently Threema users are unable to change their Threema ID, akin to changing a mobile number in WhatsApp, and inform all or select contacts of the change. There is a growing request for 'Sent Message Recall' / 'Ephemeral Messages' and having a 'Schedule Send' feature for messages (images, text and video), on a particular date and time will be a big boost. Hope the above are considered and provided. Thanks.

Best messaging app preiod. Better than Signal as it is more secure and has more features. I whish more people was using this - I think it might be the name. Signal is a catchier name. I like the fact that you're paying for it and most of all their transparency policy. Whish: If you could install the app on several devices (and same profile) you would distinguish yourself from the competition. Thank you!
