About this app

With this app, you will be able to find information on charities in California. The categories are Veterans, Homeless, Animal Shelter, Children's Hospital, and Disaster Relief. Based on the category chosen, the charities will display on Google maps with their contact info.

This app was created for an iExpo competition, and we wanted to solve the problem of people not donating to charities in need. Another problem is that people don't donate, because it is hard to find charities in their area to donate to.

When you first open the app, you will be able to choose Northern or Southern California or All. If you click all, you will be able to choose one of the five categories and be able to pick a charity. With the power of Google, you will be able to call the charity directly from their map. Click the region, click one of the five categories, go to Google Maps, and then contact your chosen charity.
