Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Notes on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

TIL You can actually add images to this, way more than you can on Reddit (its limit is 20, on this app I has note with a whopping 54 images). That actually bumps the rating from two stars to three (I would have rated two, but then I learned how to add pics). Would have been four, but the layout is a tad confusing.

Nice app. If only it has some applet for Windows just like Colornotes, a lot of its users would switch to this

Great now app. It is the one I use as it works great and isn't connected with Google or samsung.

Haven't been using it for long, but so far so good. It's always being updated (almost weekly) which isn't a bad thing @ all. Love the fact that when a task is checked it stays displayed. ONLY reason for not rating it 5 stars is: the widget lacks the ability to display all notes from a tab via a drop-down. (Edit) apparently the widget has a different way of changing what note is displayed. It's not very intuitive, and I would rather have a drop-down :).

This is a nice app, definitely worth paying for. A few features I would like: ability to increase font size of the note, option to choose your own note background color (dark colors are worthless since you can't change the font color.) I think apps should have a website that gives instructions about how to use their app. Update: Wow the ability to change the font size and color are very well done. So much fun to choose the perfect colors for font and background.

Quite good app for simple side notes (not main notes). It was winner of my comparison of about 5 simple notes apps and I am using it for specific notes only. Dark theme needs fixing so the default text color on colored notes keeps its color instead of inversion (problem can be seen e. g. with dark red note). Also I could not find how to use widgets before I added file access permission (why?). For main notes I recommend flagship notes apps instead of these basic ones.
