Preferred the old version It was way easier to use ! Have to search for everything I need to do. I hate jumping thru hoops ! Doesn't matter as GOOGLE SKREWED Android beyond repair and nothing works anymore anyway ! Looks like anything related to the internet has become a money & personal data mining system By Big Business and Government. And NOTHING WORKS AS THEY CLAIM!,!!! IT'S ONE EXTREMELY BIG LIE AFTER ANOTHER USED JUST TO SPY & STEAL ANYTHING THEY CAN FROM YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's frustrating that you cannot use "open with" when viewing an image. Instead, you have to back out to the entire folder and open an image that way. I open a lot of images in Clip Studio Paint and I keep having to go through this extra step. Other file exlpoers let you open with or share to Clip Studio while the image is open. Other than that, it's a pretty good file explorer.

I cannot currently recommend this app for Android 9 users due to the recent update that removed the ability for external apps to open files. Until then, this was my go-to for any file handling, whether on the device or on a network. The UI is clean and simple and it generally works well. I wish I could recommend it, and would have just a few weeks ago.

I had it bought for god only knows how long. Today when I needed to quickly access files I got welcomed with info that trial period is over and I need to pay. None of the proposed solutions worked so I had to remove all solid apps, clear play services data etc. It finally worked but all my configured ssh, samba, etc. connections are gone (unable to backup data on "trial period" screen). It's just sad that legitimate users are unable to use the app they bought.

Used to love this app. It was my go-to for almost everything. But now I can't open files with other apps? And it turns out this was intentional? I am very disappointed. I paid for the premium version (admittedly, not that much), and now they take away all the functionality! I feel ripped off. But I did get a couple of years of good use for my $3. It was an excellent file explorer until very recently. Now, I cannot recommend it, and must find another file explorer app. Thanks a lot, NeatBytes!

I really hope the devs read this.. I love the app, its super simple and can do a lot. But my only issue is that every single file type is the exact same colour (kinda hard to differentiate when you have a lot of files and they're all red). I was hoping a change could be made where the major file types are different colours, like audio is blue, pdf is red, etc. Or even add a setting where we can customize the colours for each file type. Once this slight issue is fixed, the app will be even better

About this app

Solid Explorer is a file management app inspired by the old school file commander applications. It will help you:
🗄️ Easily manage files in dual pane layout
🔐 Protect files with strong encryption
🖥️ Manage files on your cloud storage or NAS
☁️ Backup apps and files to any desired destination

Explore your device
Solid Explorer lets you navigate to files stored on your device and automatically organizes them into collections. You can view, delete, move, rename or share any files. It also allows you to quickly find the files you need through indexed search with filters.

Keep your files safe
Solid Explorer can protect selected files with strong AES encryption and put them in a secure folder, which contents are unreadable for other apps. The file manager will ask for password or fingerprint confirmation when you browse the folder. Even if you uninstall Solid Explorer, the files stay on your device and are still protected.

Analyze Storage
Although this file manager doesn’t feature a dedicated storage analyzer, you can find out which files take up most of space by going to folder properties of internal storage or SD card. You will find the information about the percentage of space each folder takes and the list of biggest files. You can also use search with a file size filter.

Organize remote files
Solid Explorer supports major network protocols and cloud providers to let you organize multiple remote file locations in one place. You can easily transfer files between cloud locations/servers just by dragging them from one panel to another.

Major feature list:

• Files management - main storage, SD card, USB OTG
• Cloud storage - easily connect and manage files on Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Owncloud, SugarSync, MediaFire, Yandex, Mega*
