This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing OTS Battery Widget on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

OTS Battery Widget

This app is a battery widget for everyday use. It features NO ADS (so your app does not search for ads and use up your data), is 100% FREE and provides ONLY the most basic necessities without any crappy features that seem great at first but only bog down more system storage and memory in the end!!!

There are 2 components to the app widget. The widget itself and a popup that provides a more detailed explanation of your battery status. The battery status shows battery level, charging state, temperature, voltage and a link to battery usage in settings that show which apps use how much percentage of the battery.

Battery Widget different states (see screenshots):
- GREEN outline
- from 100% to 50%
- YELLOW outline
- from 49% to 20%
- RED outline
- from 19% to 0%
- BLUE outline
- charging/plugged state

Battery Widget Popup shows battery information such as (see screenshot):
- battery level (percentage)
- charging state (True or False)
- temperature in both Celsius and Farenheit
- voltage (in mV)

Battery Widget updating style:
This battery widget is set up so that it takes up the least amount of power to keep itself updated. It works with broadcast receivers using service so it does not need to use battery-draining techniques such as alert managers or frequent updates.

Updating scenarios:
- if screen is on AND screen is not locked AND battery sends a broadcast update, THEN the widget updates.
- if screen is off, the widget stays dormant and does not update.
