Great idea and concepts however: 1. Does not focus at all in built in camera mode, thus preventing use of encrypted camera 2. Does not focus at all in video (same as #1) 3. Does not stay in foreground even when option checked. Sadly this means its useless for the actual purpose downloaded (secured media capture)

UNABLE to try 0.2.4. GETS stuck at the setup screen. Hopefully this gets resolved as it sounds like a great app. Will re-rate once fixed. OS: 7.0

Had it crash recently. Was not sure if the report reached you. Would value an in app log and perhaps the ability to resend data with formal acknowledgement? A report separate from Google if possible. Thanks.

Only shows V logo on Moto X Style/Pure Edition. Too bad. Great idea.

App still records and captures and the files work. Could you add the option to hide the icon in the notification tray?

Really I like the app and I would have kept it but did you see how many permissions? I mean for the "Guardian Project" to create such an app that wants access to my personal information under the pretense of "anonymity" pffftt.... please... I'm not sure if any corporate company can be trusted now! Wake up people nobody is going to protect you but YOU! Seems even the trusted:(

About this app

CameraV is the easiest way to capture and share verifiable photos and video proof on a smartphone or tablet, all the while keeping it entirely secure and private.

CameraV is easy to learn and simple to use (and insanely secure & powerful under the covers...). All photos and videos you take are password-protected and 100% encrypted on your device. You can also add private notes and tags to any photo or video, and choose who you share them with. CameraV also privately stores data from your device sensors and provides built-in tools to see and share it. Finally, it has a built-in secure camera that is simple, streamlined and even supports selfies.

CameraV was developed in partnership with WITNESS, an international human rights video advocacy group, and with the support of the Knight News Foundation. It is built upon the open-source InformaCam platform.

CameraV was developed for use by activists, journalists, advocates and others, working in very difficult and high-risk situations, to capture and gather visual evidence and proof of abuse and rights violations. It can also be used in your daily life to capture any moment, and keep them safe and private. You can also use it for documenting your own evidence, after accidents, for real estate needs, or any where you need "proof".
