Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Boggle This! on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

Android application that allows users to completely solve boggle games by entering in letters in a grid, and pressing solve. It takes about 5 seconds to solve. Program is totally ad free. THIS APP IS A WORK IN PROGRESS (and OCR features don't work with the solver for now).

Other features include the ability to solve 5x5 boggle grids, as well as to capture pictures and select them with the upper right menu. In the future, it will be able to analyze the pictures to retrieve the letters and put them on the grid. Also in the future, wordsearch mode will be able to use the same OCR technology to accomplish these things.

Has three main modes, Boggle Mode, Wordsearch Mode, and OCR Mode. OCR Mode currently is a free standing optical character recognition tool which simply shows text on the screen as it's picked up by the android's camera. Upper right menu contains options Load Boggle Image, Help and Rules, About App, and Exit App.

Currently in development, this should be seen as a work in progress. All rights reserved. Credit goes to Michael Butler for developing the solving algorithm used by my program. UI will need updating to work with certain phones, but it should maintain basic functionality with all android phones.
