This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Clockify — Time Tracker on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Changing start and end times in a manual entry is... Weird. You pick the start time (which is TINY btw, completely ridiculous and stupid) then select how long you worked to automatically create the end time. Often, I note start/end times rather than how long. It also doesn't have a mainscreen widget. I like the ease of start/end tracking widgets (b/c I don't have to find the full app and wait for it to load) and I'm actually pretty annoyed this one doesn't have such a useful widget.

This app is a bad experience to use. It takes between five and seven seconds to respond when you start/stop trackers. Five to seven seconds te visually respond to a button press in 2021, seriously? The buttons are also too small in my opinion and the colour of text doesn't adapt when you want to use dark mode. The web version is way better than the app. Reinstalling does not help.

I'm pretty satisfied overall, but the synchronization of the app and the desktop app and the widget are not flawless, especially when using the pomodoro timer, which is the main reason for me to use this app. When tracking something via mobile the pomodoro timer doesn't work and it sometimes does via de web app. Why is this not just a normal setting that you can adjust in every available app? Also when changing tasks or finishing then on PC, it not automatically updates on mobile.

I would have given this app 5 Star of they had a widget at all. I mean... With this type of app, that simple feature should be a given. Jimminy! I hesited giving a 1 Star on sheer principal. You're lucky Clockify developers... This time! But you're on thin ice, my friend! Responding: That sounds great! I'll be sure to update my rating when it comes out!

Useful as a proxy to the web version. Not very friendly as main app

Great app on Windows, but on Android it's so slow. Takes 2-5 seconds to do anything after clicking. Please fix this issue. Really frustrating
