This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Gourmet (free) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

Collect your favorite recipes and always take them with you on your smartphone and tablet.

With Gourmet you can:

- Enter recipes right from your device - define the category, title, ingredients, servings, directions and preparation time, if you add a link to an image you can also create the 'cover' of your new recipe;

- If you prefer, you can import the recipes uploading files stored on your device. Here you will find instructions on how to create those files and mach more: https://www.facebook.com/gourmetandroidapp;

- Search among your recipes, speaking or writing;

- Add the ingredients, specifying or creating your personal units (grams, cups etc,) for the quantities you can also enter fractions (1/2 - 1/3 and so on);

- The app will store your ingredients and auto-complete them when you type them again;

- Let your device to read you the directions with the "text to speech" (if available);

- Share your recipe by email; if the recipient has Gourmet installed on his device, the recipe will be automatically loaded in his/her archive.

- The app is translated into the following languages: Portuguese, French, Spanish and English; since the translation was done with the help of Google, if you notice mistakes please let me know, I shall arrange. Thank you.
NOTES:
- The app does not contain preloaded recipes, it's a tool that allows you to insert, store and share them.
- This is the "free" version of the app. It has all the functionality of the "pro", only the sharing feature of the recipe via email is disabled.
