Not having a sync app for Linux desktop is the main drawback .But desktop.exe Windows app can be installed on ubuntu indirectly using Wine 4. Files in a symlink can not be uploaded to the cloud .Uploading files in a symlink is possible in Dropbox .The Dropbox is the best free cloud storage service.
