Calibration only took 20 seconds and consumed no battery ony phone. It does suck up a lot in the usage though I'm not sure how. The internal battery should cover the unit and the software should be light... That said it Only used 3% in 5 minutes of use.

Had same issue with it not connecting, read instructions, changed battery with spare in the package, fired right up, battery consumption may suck but $70 and portability make up for it

I tried this before I bought it and it worked great. Used it for a few days after that and no issues except for having to re-download the app once. Didn't need to use it for a short period and now it will never connect to the app. Just keeps 'identifying' the detector. Have emailed tech support with the app and have not heard anything 72 hours later. At the current time, I think this tool is worthless and I hope I can return it and get a real CO detector. UEI needs to fix for a better review.

Was about to buy this and the guy let me try it with my phone. All it did was try to start. 5 minutes with it thinking, I said no thanks. Ordered a real Co detector from another wholesaler.

Zero calibration is taking forever and eating my battery. Not sure my company will give us time to be able to use these at our jobs.
