This is infrared remote which means it can handle ON/OFF unlike other wifi remotes. Suitable for samsung TVs which do not have a power button. Supports almost all remote functions including Smart Hub navigation. The biggest issue is that it prevents the auto screen lock and drains battery if you forget to close the app. Also the remote UI should be right aligned instead of centered so that it can be operated with one hand.

Incredibly easy to use. I'm in the hospital Instantly connected to the hospital's as easily as my home. Each time it was as simple as opening the app. No paring necessary! Excellent work, Backlash team!

Thought I'd try tho oficial Samsung app first. Totally useless and endless setup and legal screens, and it didn't even begin to function. This app by contrast is simple, small and works perfectly straight away. Well done...

Button in the middle does not work. Others yes but not the middle if i pick the movie i want i can't press to watch it just going up and down left right

Worked the first time. Need to make sure no obstruction to the receiver as it works with infrared communication. Nice and simple and works with the Samsung Smart TV and Hub

About this app

Samsung and LG TV Remote Control is complete IR remote control for LG and Samsung TV models manufactured from ~2005 until present day. The difference between this and other applications found on store is that this remote works exactly like the original infrared remote. The remote's layout (image) is exactly the same as the Samsung and LG TV remote. Most older series use almost the same layout. So no need to learn how to use this app, just install it and start using it like your original remote.

How to use:
★ You must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the television like with the original infrared remote. Usual working range is 3 - 15ft (line of sight).
★ With some phones in power saving mode or with almost empty battery the IR signal is very weak and range is less then 5ft.

Features:
All functions should work with the latest LG and Samsung TVmodels. If you have 10 year old model which does note have internet connection, then of course some internet related buttons like e-manual (online help) and internet apps will not open but all common functions will still work.

Supported devices:
Devices with IR blaster running on Android KitKat and newer e.g Galaxy series S4, S5, S6, S6 Edge, Note3, Note 4, Tab4, Mega, HTC One series (M7/M8/M9) running on original ROM, LG G3 Stylus, G5, Xiaomi Redmi Mi and Note series, many Huawei and Honor phones, TCT / Alcatel I221 and some Lonovo tablets with IR interface.
