Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing IoTool BLE Beacons (RuuviTag) Sensors on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

New features

Updated protocol for RuuviTag with Android 7.0 which prevents the app from stopping and starting BLE scans more than 5 times in a window of 30 seconds. Based on that Android 7.0 device gets data from RuuviTag every few seconds and not in realtime. It cannot be done better till (if) Android 7.0 protocol is changed.
