Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing illiniLaundry on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Laundry app says all machines are all open when actually none are available. this is true for scott, snyder, and hopkins, and many more.

The listed broken washing machines in Allen Hall (Room 49) are wrong. machines 5, 8, and 9 are currently out of order. the rest are working.

This is a student made app for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It lets users have a live status feed of washing and drying machines in dorms across campus.

Do you want to help with development?

Send us pictures of your dorm (and respective hall)! If it's good, we'll use it in the app! E-mail the developer for more information.

Here's a list of TODO's that the developers are working on:

- Better UI

- Android Wear compatibility

- Getting (finalized) pictures for all the dorms and halls. Yes, we know that some dorm/hall pictures are wrong.

THE APP WORKS AGAIN! WOO!

- Changed from LaundryAlert API to LaundryView API!
- Things should load much quicker now
- Fix bug where app crashes if the user had bookmarks before update 1.12

Certain names will look different because the new API is spitting back new stuff.
