About this app
Video Interview Voice Search is a function that allows users to search in predefined content through spoken voice commands rather than typing. Its main advantage is that you can search hands-free, which means that you can really be multitasking and do whatever you want while the search algorithm finds answers to your questions.
Preparing For a Video Job Interview?
Most candidates don't do it properly. The key difference between a mediocre interviewee and a top performer lies in their preparation. The best applicants who consistently turn interviews into offers are the ones who methodically prepare.
While proper job interview preparation demands time, it doesn't mean that it should take over your life.
One of the easiest ways to become a better candidate for the position is to prepare yourself for the obvious questions.
It may sound like an easy task, but sometimes it can be rather difficult to provide precise answers and additional relevant details to complicated questions in a timely manner.
So How Will This App Help You?
Voice search commands can not be easily detected because they resemble a natural conversation. Also, voice search appears to be faster – just because most people speak faster than they type.
By using a well-designed job interview aid and sophisticated voice search algorithm, you can avoid those long awkward pauses while you try to recall the information that is needed.
Think of this app as a bullet point list you can secretly refer to without the interviewer knowing.
How to Ace a Video Job Interview Over Skype or Zoom?
This is what you need to know if you want to shine during your next virtual job interview:
1) The easiest way to start off is by preparing two separate devices - one for the video interview and one on which the app will be installed on. Once the app is installed on the helper device, launch it, go to the home screen and create a new document.
2) Think about what words could be skipped and what you could adjust or add to make your message clear and concise. Your goal is to whittle down your answer into a short story that delivers your message and its value in as few words as possible. Write down your answers to each of the interview questions in the document editor of the app. The app document editor is a simple and user-friendly text-to-HTML conversion tool. It will allow you to format lists, headers, and many other content features.
3) Specify keywords that directly link to the relevant question/answer by selecting the appropriate text and clicking the 'Index text' tool in the document editor. Text indexing will allow you to perform voice search through the content.
4) Place your helper device right under/over your webcam. Position your webcam directly at eye level so it looks like you are looking at the interviewer. Exit the app edit mode and go to the preview document section of the app.
5) Say a “wake” phrase to tell the search engine to begin analyzing what you want to say. The “wake” phrase has to be followed by the search term. The app voice search engine will highlight keywords that match the search term used and scroll the text fragment into the viewing portion of the window. These “wake” phrases can be anything, but often include ones like “OK“ or "Fine". The list of the “wake” phrases is specified and edited in the settings section of the app.
Use this app with caution
Using this voice-controlled app can help, but it also has the potential to derail your interview.
To be clear, you should use it at your own risk. In the best-case scenario, you should not need it during an interview. However, when used appropriately and discreetly, it can give you an edge above your applicants if additional details are added that may be difficult to remember.
