Turn off notification checkmark in the system's application manager for the app(s) that you want blacklisted and it seems to speed up the notification disappearance/reappearance issue. Minus 1 star because the "clear config undo" notification is annoying because you get this app to get rid of notifications but instead this gives you a new one that comes and goes randomly with no option to disable it. (yes drawer buttons tab is already unchecked so it must be a bug)

This is a nice little app that resolved an issue I was having with a persistent New Voicemail notification that refused to go away, despite not actually having any new vmails. All attempts at removing the icon had failed, including force stopping the phone service, clearing data and cache, etc. My only "complaint" is that it seems to use a relatively large amount of RAM for what it does, clocking in at about 64MB on my phone.

About this app

*** This app require ROOT access, please do NOT download if your device is not rooted ***

Most of the notifications are not meaningful. This app help you to clear unwanted notifications completely. Customizable buttons can be added to your notification drawers to manage your notifications.

Do you regret the dismiss action after you realizing that removed notifications could be useful? We also provide "recovery button" for you to undo the dismiss.

With the root access, you can now clear all ongoing notifications, as well as regular notifications. You can also blacklist or whitelist apps, so that you do not need to care about their notifications anymore. You can even define simple filtering rules to automatically dismiss some notifications.

You can also configure the text-to-speech (TTS) function to read message aloud. It save your times to unlock and check messages again and again.

Finally, we can live with notification drawer peacefully.
