About this app

iPARTICIP8 is a HIPAA-compliant SaaS based mobile app. It aids studies with various aspects of participant retention. iPARTICIP8 includes an admin web portal & a participant facing mobile app, which allows for secure messaging, study calendar management, self-scheduling by participants, secure photo uploads, & easy longitudinal tracking of participants from screening to study completion.
The app uses traditional form authentication & social login (Facebook & Google). The app doesn’t request anything other than basic information from these authentication services. The mobile app uses local data storage for storing minimal information – e.g., app settings. No user data or study related information will be saved within this database at any time. All of the data displayed within the mobile app are retrieved in real time. All communication between the mobile app & the web service use SSL. The mobile app implements an automatic logout when there is an inactivity for more than 3 minutes. The app has push notifications that are primarily used for reminders and notifications of new messages. Firebase cloud messaging service is used for these notifications.
