It works, and it does not require any smelly permissions, (though it does require access to the phone's GPS location, no idea why,) but it is too simplistic. No options, no configuration of any kind possible. The wooden texture obviously caters towards people who are impressed by form more than by function. I am not one of them. There exist better android compasses that are also free and also do not require smelly permissions.

This compass is free and do only show directions, so it works but is not so useful.
