This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing myUCPH on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

The app generally won't open, but if it does, it usually crashes... It used to work alright once, but even then, many options didn't work.

Doesn't open. When it occasionally 'connects to the internet', the calendar is useful.

I sent my lecturer a message via Absalon. This message appeared in the app with an attachment that I did not include in the message. The attachment was a trial-exam of some law student whom I've never met and know nothing off. This is very weird and might indicate a big, big security hole. Do not use until fixed! (Android, OnePlus 6t, newest version as of 10/12/2020) Other than that, the login function seems unstable and the feature set is quite limited.

About this app

myUCPH is the official app for students at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH). myUCPH makes it easy for you to find out what’s on your schedule, and gives you all the important updates and messages from UCPH in a pocket sized format.

The app includes:

- your messages from “Absalon”, the UCPH Virtual Learning Environment
- your study messages from the UCPH intranet “KUnet"
- your personal schedule (currently not available for SCIENCE and parts of HEALTH)
- public news from the University of Copenhagen
- public events from the University of Copenhagen
- phone book with university staff, e.g. your supervisor
- information from the libraries, including opening hours

To use the app you must be a student at the University of Copenhagen. You log in the same way as you log on to the UCPH intranet “KUnet". A login session lasts three months.
