Der COMPUTER BILD-Speedtest bietet folgende Funktionen:

SpeedTest (Geschwindigkeits-Messung)
Tippen Sie auf „Speedtest starten“ und ermitteln Sie so die Geschwindigkeit Ihrer Internetverbindung beim Laden (Download) und Senden (Upload) von Daten. Zusätzlich dazu werden die Reaktionszeit bei der Kontaktaufnahme zu Internetservern (Ping) gemessen. Der Verlauf des Geschwindigkeitsaufbaus sowie die abschließenden Messergebnisse werden anschaulich dargestellt.

Ergebnisse
Egal ob die Messung via WLAN oder Mobilfunk erfolgte – bereits vorgenommene Messungen können Sie über den Menüpunkt "Ergebnisse" jederzeit aufrufen.

Karte (Netzabdeckung)
Die Netzabdeckungskarte zeigt den Netzempfang mit LTE (4G) und 5G in Arealen, für die Messergebnisse vorliegen. Bereiche mit 5G-Empfang werden grün, Bereiche mit LTE rot dargestellt. Zusätzlich wird die Signalstärke farblich angezeigt (höhere Farbintensität = besserer Empfang).

Messung via Mobilfunk oder WLAN
Die Speedtest-Messungen lassen sich über jede Internet-Verbindung vornehmen, sowohl per Mobilfunk als auch per WLAN . Wenn Sie das Mobilfunktempo messen wollen, muss die WLAN-Verbindung getrennt sein. Mit Ihrer Teilnahme helfen Sie COMPUTERBILD Statistiken zur Qualität der Mobilfunknetze in Deutschland zu ermitteln.

Die Datenerfassung erfolgt anonymisiert. Es werden keine personenbezogenen Daten wie Telefonnummer, Kontakte oder IMSI gespeichert und verarbeitet. Die Datenerfassung kann jederzeit durch Deinstallation der App beendet werden.
