Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DataDetox on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

DataDetox allows you to turn your data connection on and off automatically. If you lock up your phone your data connection will be disabled automatically. When you want to check your apps, just unlock it and your data connection will be turned back on.

Using this application, you will have all these advantages:

1) Battery will last longer. Using your data connection only when you need it, you will save battery.
2) Don't be disturbed while doing important things. Use DataDetox while driving, working, studying, etc. You won't receive any distracting emails or whatsapps as your data connection will be disabled until you unlock your device.
3) Reduce mobile phone radiation. It is not proved that this radiation is bad for health but at least using DataDetox will avoid some of it while your device is locked.
4) Remember, you can change the options in the app and have your data connection available at all times whenever you want.

This application does not have ads and it's completely free. It only does what it has to. It only needs one android permission to change the data connection status, nothing else.

Important notice: Due to some Android limitations, the app isn't working on Android 5.0, so you won't be able to install it on devices running this Android version. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are working hard to try and solve this as soon as possible, so everyone will be able to use DataDetox!
