The app requires permissions to access: - Contacts - Location - Storage - Telephone (make and receive calls) In my experience (year 2020), the app is not functioning (not connecting to the lock), unless I grant it all permissions above. So now I need to trust developers not only with the ability to open my lock remotely, but also knowing GPS location of the door it opens (Location permission). It is unacceptable. Trust should be the top concern for users of the device which suppose to provide security, and yet the developers completely ignore it. Do I trust ZKTeco developers? Well, considering this aggressive attempt to get access to so much of my private information, I don't. I can't trust people who are not taking security of my personal data seriously. Especially to handle my physical security.

I really tried to give this lock app a chance seeing what my experience would be. I see people are posting the same issues I'm having and it seems these issues are still around. The lock works on its own great. The app needs serious help. I have two of these locks, Model ML10-ID which this app is suppose to work with it. The other Model I have PL10/ML10 which does not come with the card access uses ZKBIOBT app. The one without the cards connects to both apps perfectly ZKBIOBL app and ZKBIOBT app and works lol! I can't get the Model ML10-ID to connect to anything. Hope this helps anyone else. Hopefully the creator of the software. Phone I have is Andriod Galaxy S7.

Can't connect with OnePlus 7t. I can with my Galaxy 8+. I can see in Bluetooth settings but not in the app. Lock is useless to meet without app connection.

Unfortunately you can't get past the first step since the Bluetooth on the door doesn't seem to work

Door lock itself is great. Works each time to unlock with the provided key cards. However, the Bluetooth of the lock sucks ass. Seriously, it never wants to connect to your phone, and you have to "search" for the lock every time you want to unlock the lock from your phone. Devs really need an update to the app to CONNECT to the lock.
