Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DriversCheck on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Works but could be better. Sacrifices usability for a level of apparent security that's really not needed for an app that really just needs to scan and validate a QR code every few months. PIN and fingerprint validation, sure, but a separate password with four distinct kinds of characters on top, that is just a pain.

My company picked this app to verify our licenses. After trouble verifying the rear of the German license, I found the root cause (app is constantly triggering vibration) and reported it to the developer (ticket #277295). When all vibration on the phone is turned off (which is buried in the phone settings), verification works reliably. After 6 months I reported again that the issue was still there. Now, 1 year later, it has still not been fixed. Stay away!

A bit clumsy the verification of EU driver licenses as the verification of the back fails quite often and the full recognition of the back side has to start from step 1 even if the first part of the back identification was successful. The review is a suggestion to improve the recognition algorithm. The hints offered by the producer are not valid for modern phones, as holding a tri- or quad-camera phone at 30 cm from the driving license is definitely not the solution.

Such a poor app. The check-sequence just jumps back and force between step 2 & 3 - it's impossible to complete it. How can you not fix that after months of not working.

don 't know why our company picked this app. every year, many colleagues and i are wasting our time trying to verify our licenses. when scanning the qr code, little red dots are flashing but the verification process can't be completed. we tried ios and android. same procedure as every year ... and no improvement.

Backside of the driver license cannot be recognised, doesn't matter how much light is applied. Tried to submit support ticket, then the app is throwing error about Internet connection. Great app. Have a star.
