absolutely dismal, on installing on the cloud device, you have to work out that already installed accounts have to be re-invited. endless indexing, admin changed. please dont you ever test these things??. The remote client is a waste of time, every time an attempt to play a film you get format not suported. cloud device then disappears . IT IS AN APPALLING PIECE OF SOFTWARE AND YOU FORCED IT ON US. MY 4TB DEVICE IS GOING IN THE BIN AND I WILL FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS.

Not bad. Attractive interface. Just needs more polish and usability features. Actually went to 2 stars because the automatic backup doesn't fire up for either of my phones which are Samsung until I open the app. The app is not optimized for battery saving in the background. I made sure it was off on both phones. Not super happy. Of course Google photos is perfect in this respect, but that's why I moved to this to replace it because of the future limitations on g photos.

Okay so you own a cloud storage server... What's the one thing you want to be able to use that device for? Uploading and accessing files!!! Something you can't do with os 5!? It will happily let you upload photos and videos, but they are the least important of all the things I store on my nas! If you want to say, upload a PDF, or any document, audio file, program file Ect from your phone or tablet, nope can't do that. According to WD people only use mobile devices for pictures and nothing else.

You can't even download your own files from the app! The data you stored on your NAS, so you can access them remotely, can only be accessed from your PC and transferred over manually to your phone! An absolutely basic function that should be here from the start and it fails that. At least the old app was able to download files.

Please note, you might need to update your MyCloud device's firmware to use this app. I did, no problem. I like that this app if setup, AUTOMATICALLY backs up all pictures, videos and other folders I have selected from my cell phone an tablet, EVERYTIME I get home (backup over wifi) I love this feature. No more worries about transferring them off my mobile devices (phone & tablet) to my home computer.

When it works, it works fine. However, probably there are times when the app won't display my photos. The thumbnails look fine but when selecting one, the actual files doesn't display; only a black screen.
