There is no way to set up a directory with the Droid Turbo, so even if it was recording, you'd never be able to access the recordings. I liked it on my old phone, but to earn the stars, it has to be usable on other devices too. I'm pretty tech savvy, so it's not me just fumbling around, unable to find the directory, but rather a lack of functionality with the Turbo.

It works, and it does not require any smelly permissions. The widget operation is cool. However, it is very rudimentary and it has no options whatsoever. It will only save in WAV format. The quality of the sound is low, but not abysmally low, so the app is usable. But there exist better free voice recorders.

Works great. Cuts out all the steps to get something recorded on the go. Saves well, easy to find later. Quick thoughts don't get lost when pen and paper not handy. Exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you guys, sometimes simple is perfect!

Thank You very much. Instant recorder is a great tool. The widget works just like it needs to work. Since everybody on the market ask for some extra features - I would like to ask for at least some basic controls in the app (not in the widget - the widget is fine) Setting the output folder, the input signal (rear or front mic), file naming template etc. It could be Full version of the app for 1$. But still lot of your users would pay for it just because they like your app.

I love the idea of how simple and basic it is ad free and all that, but there is no options. So it can't save it if your phone doesn't have a SD card. I really wished it would of worked. :(

Discrete, quick to press. This is a good app for people who need to record something in an emergency -- something that doesn't need to be high quality, just a recording so people will believe you instead of dismissing you as over reacting and the person or people you're trying to get away from no longer have any plausible deniability. A little life saver.
