This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing iWay SMS Controller on PC Windows and Mac.

Useless. It works backwards. You can send the information from the device you hold to the one you do not. But I already have the device. Why would I want to send information to the phone I left at home?

About this app

Welcome to iWAY SMS, now control your phone which you have left at home. Many people have more than one mobile with them. One may be for work and the other may be for personal use. But there are times when we carry only one mobile with us and the information from other mobile may be needed urgently. For instance, consider the situation in which a business man is on a vacation and he needs the number of his client immediately but he has left his official phone (phone without internet connection) at home which is locked. In such situation we can use our app and send an SMS query to the Android phone left at home and get back the required information automatically via SMS. Hence our app acts as a communicating medium for transferring small piece of information between an Normal mobile and Android Mobile

***IMPORTANT***
Texting Replacement Apps:
If you have an SMS replacement app (Handcent/Go SMS). The workaround to fix this is very similar for both apps.

Go SMS - Open Go SMS, hit 'Menu' and click 'Settings'. Switch to 'Advanced' mode at the top. Go to "Other setting". Uncheck "Disable other message notification".

Handcent SMS - Open Hancent, Hit 'Menu' and select Settings, Click Application settings, then Default Messaging Application, Set this to 'Disable'.

Note: A random number is generated as default password, it can be changed from Menu->Settings->Enter Password

Situation 1: Both Sender & Receiver are Android users with iWAY SMS installed

Just use the User Interface provided in our application to retrieve the necesary content


Situation 2: Sender is not an Android User/ dosen't have iWAY SMS installed. Sending an SMS in the following format gives you

an appropriate reply

1. Retrive Contacts from other mobile

iWAY CONTACT contact_name password
eg. iWAY CONTACT bala 1234

2. Change Sound profile of other mobile

iWAY PROFILES profile_name password
eg. iWAY PROFILES SILENT 1234
iWAY PROFILES VIBRATE 1234
iWAY PROFILES NORMAL 1234

3. Retrive Call Log from the other mobile

iWAY CALLS call_type password
eg. iWAY CALLS INCOMING 1234
iWAY CALLS OUTGOING 1234
iWAY CALLS MISSED 1234

4. Retrive Contact name for a given phone number

iWAY PH2NAME phone_number password
eg. iWAY PH2NAME 9344450844 1234

5. Retrive the Battery status of other phone

iWAY BATTERY status password
eg. iWAY BATTERY status 1234

6. Retrieve recently received SMS from other mobile
IWAY SMS type password

eg. IWAY SMS inbox 1234
