Is there a more screwed up company than Viasat? I think not & I've been with them 7+ yrs because no alternative. Don't bother with useless app. Been without service now for 2+ days--- app says it checked my system & everything is working perfectly! Can't connect to my account most times. As for the service itself, RUN AWAY as fast as you can! Spending $279/mo. for supposed 100Mb/s. LOL. It's junk. Their "technical support" is a complete joke. Can't answer a question if it's not on the script.

I have not been able to use this app for 2 days now, just a blank screen. I have had the same issues periodically in the past. As for the company....OMG THEY SUCK‼ If there were any other choice in our area, we would use it. Trying to use the xbox for anything is near impossible due to lack of download speeds, generally less than a meg. Even during the liberty pass time, drops off to nothing and barely a meg. Takes days to install anything on the xbox.

Update: still having issues. The app is unusable for me and has been for months. Reinstalling does not help. Suddenly having issues. It tries logging in and then says "oops" and gives me the option to retry or log out and sign in again. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still the same issue. Disappointed because I rely on it to keep up with usage.

The customer service is absolutely a nightmare. I was overcharged $222.02 to my bank account. It has been 2 weeks trying to get this resolved and 2 months prior to that working on getting my service going properly. Credits don't show on the app so you have to take the word of one of 5 different stories you get from Customer Service. $222.02. Are they really saving that much money in outsourcing Customer service to where you have to spend hours and hours of my valuable time.

May 2021 -- service down ... AGAIN! So sick of the extended downtimes and frequent buffering when it is actually connected. Called service # and got message wait time was 596 minutes. This app also displays my "plan" as one I had two years ago that is no longer available. It's diagnostics say everything is fine although light on modem is red. Customer service with Viasat is time consuming (when you can actually talk to someone). Do not bother to install this useless app.

The viasat app is 22.5 MB and I've been downloading it now for 53 minutes and I'm at 73% if that gives you an idea of internet speed after initial gigabytes I have this internet because they are the only ones that provide for my address I don't mind paying extra because of bad address but at least try to get your internet to be fast to enough to be considered slow speed internet it feels as if I don't have internet :(
