Very poor app. Navigation through the menus is inconsistent, sometimes hangs. Full setup requires access through Only Internet Explorer due to being Java based apparently. Receiving constant alerts that appear to be from bugs flying across the camera. Makes the alerts useless. I would not purchase this system again.

If you are thinking of buying the 4k system, or already have it - you're SOL with this app. Brightness and contrast control don't work. NONE of the 'smart' motion detection features work or are even available. Worst of all, the NVR and app don't even support 4K recording or streaming - so what's the point of a 4K camera?? These systems are made by Uniview, and their EZView app is MUCH better, as is their desktop software. WD - you need to fix this situation asap, it's a nightmare right now...

The app no longer works at all. It tells me there is a network error even using the setup QR code. I can only access my nvr if im on my home wifi. I cannot access is via cellular connection. There hasnt been any uodates to this app ever

After resetting my phone, the app no longer works. That's why I bought the system, the WD name and it supposedly did what I needed- to view video from my phone remotely. If you've bought this system and haven't opened the box, I would return the whole system. Tech support from I'm guessing India. Tech support is completely useless. Made 2 tickets for the same issue and no one has the ability to help. I'm guessing WD is still recovering from the Red fiasco.

The technology is great for the price, but the documentstion is sparce and WD refers you to Microcenter for tech support. Microcenter tries to be helpful but its obvious that they're trying to figure it out just like me. User forums indicate that other users are having tech problems too.

Pretty good for 1 year until these two weeks. I dont know what was changed. Sometimes the app stop me fron viewing through celluar connection. It always works with home wifi. WD please fix this problem. Updated: Can WD update the app to fix the celluar connection problem that cause the app "network error"???
