Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Trimble Connect on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Could not access views saved in desktop version.

Did not work for me even once. Always fails to download sketches and don't even provide enough details for the error. Reply: Hi Darshan, The format is "skp", created using Sketchup Web and saved on Trimble cloud. Also, I have used Sketchup viewer later and it let me fetch my sketchup model from Trimble Cloud. Which is just what I wanted. So for me the solution or workaround was to instead use SketchUp Viewer from Trimble itself.

Could use some updating but works great for my purposes. I can click on my todos that where created in sync manager and add pictures from my phone. Very useful.

Errors.. Not able to download the sketchUp project files from account for use on phone. Download errors each time. :-(

Can't access Anything, just states viewer download issue or something. Tried to use the download feature before using view model but doesn't work ether.

Project stakeholders can easily share, comment on, and manage the latest project documents, photos, drawings, and 3D models through the cloud across the design, build, and operate phases of a project. This information can be seamlessly accessed across Desktop, Web, or Mobile environments depending on a stakeholder’s role or tasks.

Trimble Connect Mobile App is simple to use and specifically designed for professionals working in remote or field environments such as the construction job site manufacturing facilities, or in project meetings or presentations. It is designed for one click access to the specific information needed to complete tasks that have been organized by the back office using Trimble Connect for Web or Desktop. Project information and files can be stored locally in the mobile application for offline use where internet access isn’t always accessible. Any new Tasks, called ToDo’s, can be created or modified while offline, then synchronized to the cloud once reconnected to the internet.

One key differentiating feature within Trimble Connect Mobile App is its high-performance 3D model viewer. Large complex detailed construction models created by a variety of different Building Information Modeling (BIM) applications in multiple formats (IFC, SKP, RVT, DWG, etc.) can be quickly loaded, overlaid, and easily navigated through in a simple intuitive touch based interface.
