Update cure tonight for the Trimble Mobile Manager app that makes Catalyst work with the DA-1 ext antenna and third party apps ! Hopefully future Android changes will see improved communications with purchasers if problems result, until fixes are reached by developer. Apparently if the 'mock location' function of Android isn't cooperative, no third party apps were found to work (at least on a Pixel 4) during the week after Android 11 update when I tried using catalyst. Catalyst takes a minute or so to locate its satellites through a DA-1 usb antenna, for example and then reduces 12' error rates down to 4' or so 'differential' and then down as low as an inch or less, rtk, in clear spots in Florida, at least within two minutes or so. The hour blocks run non-stop and cannot be 'paused,' whether the app is stopped or everything shuts down. Initial setup for third party app use requires putting the phone into Developer mode and then altering settings like "mock location", etc. to work with most apps per instructions. ... The Manager kinda resembles a DOS app in a Windows era ? Kudos to Trimble for bringing great accuracy to consumers !
